Marco Materazzi shifts gears with Nissan in China for an exciting collaboration

EMW Global was approached by Nissan, the global automobile giant, to secure a Champions League winner as the face of their China-based sponsorship activities for the 2019 UCL.

There was no better fit than Marco Materazzi, a football legend known for his towering presence on the field and his extraordinary achievements. A World Cup champion with Italy in 2006, Materazzi played a pivotal role in securing the title with his crucial goals and rock-solid defense.

His career includes multiple Serie A titles, Coppa Italia victories, and a Champions League triumph with Inter Milan. Known for his fierce determination and leadership, Materazzi’s legacy as one of football’s most iconic defenders is etched in history.

Materazzi made appearances in both Shanghai and Wuhan just before the 2019 UCL Final, drawing large crowds of enthusiastic fans eager to meet the football legend. The events also offered fans their first look at Nissan’s latest products, adding to the excitement.

 

Nissan were delighted that their products and brand had been represented by someone with such strong links to the Champions League as well the extensive brand recognition received from Chinese sports fans due to the events.
